Area to be Transplanted Removed, Transplant  Partially  Fitted

After the desired area is removed, and I know that the side walls are straight,  I put a rough cut piece of "Delignit" under the  pinblock, and use several pinblock jacks to hold it in the desired position. Next I mark the top of the insert, showing where it is to be cut.  I use my bandsaw with a 3/8 inch skip tooth blade to cut just inside of the line. Even when cut with care, I usually find it necessary to sand some areas for the proper fit.  Note the sanding drum used for fitting.
